I have an elite, traded in my old premium for it and ill say this now...GET ONE!!!! they are much much nicer to look at than the old premiums tbqh..plus you have the newer revision of heatsink..plus its black...it has HDMI slot and also a massive 120gb hdd. So is it better than the old premium??..Hell yes it is and not only that its much much quieter...doesnt sound like a jetplane taking off:p.

Seriously forget what all the silly doomsayers are saying in here...if it break for the 3RROD then your covered by a 3 yr M$ warranty and if not then your still covered by a 12mth warranty and if your really feeling smart then if it goes past the first 12 mths then time to whip out the old SOGA act aka Sales of Goods Act.

But really get one, you wont regret it seriously...
 
i havent seen any ps3 failure threads on here? Is there any? Yet every other day i see a 360 problem...

360 - lots of great games but the console is a piece of **** I wouldnt be happy if halfway through my fav game and it suddenly chucks up the dreaded lights of death... And it does this with regular frequency (according to the screams of anguish on this forum alone) It seems to be a case of not IF your xbox 360 will die but WHEN.

And if you have to send it back to MS pray your 360 doesnt die before xmas because you wont be seeing it for a long while (uhmm lol :D )

People buy PS3's? ;)

But yeah there was problems with the 360, notably the imfamous 3 red lights - but seemingly it's solved now with later revisions of the machine (and overall I think it was down to heat).
 
Contrary to popular belief (hehe) the ps3 is a great machine :D Watched Hot Fuzz on it yesterday (with DD 5.1 surround) great stuff. Then had a go on Uncharted Drakes Fortune Demo. Luvly.

I'm a firm believer in the principle that if the core technology is sound and reliable then the games will come and the fact that the ps3 easily doubles as a dvd/bluray player means you dont miss the games as much. I hate having to send stuff back if they break....i really do...
