Getting bored with my GTR

200SX
why? Because it's the RWD alteranative
my thinking is you can't gt bored of a Nissan that loves to drift and I gt the feeling that you want to love the gtr but it's too safe, 200Sx'S are less safe and can be fast too ! Happiness all round also I think less people know about 200SXs so maybe there more chance for lol worthy upsets on the road

i quite agree, i had 200SX (the MK 2 of the pop up headlight era) and i loved every minute of it, i had to get rid of it, due to a few reasons, but I wanted to keep it

im guessing with 7K u could get a nice S14a

Wouldn't an MX5 with a huge V8 in the front handle like ass?

You make it sound like its got a boat anchor in the front.

The LS1 crate engine is listed at about 188 kilos.

By way of comparison the YB engine used in the sierra cosworth is 120kg

so yeah its heavier than 2.0 Four Cylinder, but only by 60kg. You can negate some of that by removing unwanted trim etc...

Ps on that Ferrari video it looks to me that the ferrari doesn't try and then lays waste to the mx5

why is it so hard to believe a 400 bhp V8 engine in a car that weighs as much as biscuit tin could be faster than a ferrari in a straight line ?

and that video doesnt even say if the LS1 v8 is stock. You can take them to 800 if you stick on a blower....

the Clio V6 is so rare and just "out there" its got to be worth a look.

Will probably hold its value really well as its a limited production run car too. Future classic like the Clio Williams i reckon.

Not all that much quicker than a 182 though...

if speed was his only concern he'd not have got bored of the GTR

thats my thinking.

The Clio V6 is a bit .. bonkers. Its got a V6 engine in the rear of a hatchback. Its different and having sat in one it feels the limited production run crazy thing that it is.

It might feel a bit tame after a 500 brake Skyline but an E36 M3 will give you plenty of spare change to... make it even more interesting.

I went from a 350 bhp skyline to a 230ish bhp E36 and I've had more 'driving' enjoyment out of the BMW. They are very nimble and predictable and because they are so cheap, you can take it to the edge without worry about breaking the bank if you bend it. Theres so much more to driving than blasting through the gears whilst reaching silly speeds, took me a while to realise that though.

the cost of running an rx7 is over inflated massively by people not knowing anything about them, i guarantee it will be cheaper to own than a 500bhp+ skyline.

you will also not find a better drivers car, makes you feel part of the car and you can literally feel the tarmac through you hands, first power steering car id had that with.

potential of 800hp from standard engine, best handling car to come out of japan, beautiful shape, very light(mines weighs 1180kg)

i cant think of another car under 50k id rather have being honest

I've had a few rx7s and have an r32 gtr just like yours now. The Rx will be more expensive to run but yes they are more fun. I wouldn't call a gtr boring though, mine is a bit less than yours at 400bhp but to me
it's motoring perfection!

Would say a big Aussie v8 might be more fun hint hint!
