GPU on die with the CPU is a complete game changer for Nvidia. Intel can do it, AMD can do it, Nvidia can't and they know it, there's been rumours that Nvidia have been trying to get a x86 license so that they can get into this market. Give it a couple of years there will be no reason to have a seperate GPU in the vast majority of PCs which loses Nvidia a huge part of their business.

It leaves Nvidia extremely vulnerable as they will only be able to compete in the mid and high end discrete market, where at the moment they little viable product.

Intel had a GPU/CPU chip running Farcry 2 didn'nt they or there were a video of something along those lines ? most impressive wonder if GPU/CPU would work with crossfire / SLI ? or do you think it would roll down the road of more socketed GPU/CPU chips:)?

Hes also very doom and gloom about the 28nm refresh of Fermi which IMO is somewhat misplaced, Fermi doesn't need to increase SPs, etc. the same as traditionally to unlock its performance potential - just that little extra space can allow them to get the shaders upto speed, beef up TMUs and the polymorph engine, etc.

Not so sure he's doom and gloom about fermi on 28nm, but rather TSMC 28nm, which is what nVidia will be using.

If ATi are using GF, it'll be an issue that won't harm them.

They won't be if TSMC mess up 28nm cards for them, plus, by the time it's ready, ATi might be a generation ahead.
