Getting colder - heating on yet?

Thought about it this morning when I was a little bit cold, but figured I'd just the window instead and wear a jumper during the evening if it gets chilly. The one thing I keep forgetting about is all the windows in the house have vents which are currently all open, might shut them to see if it helps. Only doing it this way to save money.

I switch my 360 on for a bit, and put my PC's fans on low - cpu shoots upto 60c or so (3.7ghz e6600) and I has a nice warm room. Takes a while for the room to heat up but it works!

I ain't got no central heating I don't like it & I sleep Nekkid throughout the year with the window Wide open.
Any Ladies on the boards are Welcome to come prove me wrong/right but a pasty smash is the Entrance fee.

I never have my heating on. Always been in well insulated or top floor flats. Saves on the bills!

Same! We're currently on the 2f of a 3f block of flats, so we're sandwiched with two flats beneath, one above. Great insulation, and we get all the heat from the flats below.

Yep, our heating has been turned back on by the wife, much to my disgust.

I think that a 3 year old boy and 10 month old girl should be able to create enough heat simply by toddling/playing running etc.

That said our house is big and old, in the summer it stays very cool, in the winter it will go freezing cold very fast

Good thread, reminded me to get my boiler serviced before everyone else things of it too!
Good point thar. Our pump is like 15yrs old as is our boiler. We had them newly fitted in when I accidently burnt down the kitchen.

Mine is set to come on at 5.30am for half an hour and when i wake up at 6,its lovely and warm.

No need for heating at night, just stick a jumper on.

The heating will not be going on until at least November. I already have a stack of thick jumpers ready for the girlfriend to borrow when she whines about it being cold :p
