Getting colder - heating on yet?

Thought about it this morning when I was a little bit cold, but figured I'd just the window instead and wear a jumper during the evening if it gets chilly. The one thing I keep forgetting about is all the windows in the house have vents which are currently all open, might shut them to see if it helps. Only doing it this way to save money.
You failed your "How to switch the heater on" exam?
I wonder if the council will give certificates for doing this?
A la the "getting on a bus" certificate that kid got a few weeks ago.

Good thread, reminded me to get my boiler serviced before everyone else things of it too!
Same! We're currently on the 2f of a 3f block of flats, so we're sandwiched with two flats beneath, one above. Great insulation, and we get all the heat from the flats below.
Don't worry, if someone else turns it on it voids the test.
Yep, our heating has been turned back on by the wife, much to my disgust.
I think that a 3 year old boy and 10 month old girl should be able to create enough heat simply by toddling/playing running etc.
That said our house is big and old, in the summer it stays very cool, in the winter it will go freezing cold very fast

Good point thar. Our pump is like 15yrs old as is our boiler. We had them newly fitted in when I accidently burnt down the kitchen.
, windows are still open to the max. Long way off heating yet.
