Getting fit with only £100

Hence why I want to cheap out

Buy cheap equipment, and you'll be either re-selling it for pennies on gumtree or taking it to the tip.

Buy decent equipment like olympic weights, and years on down the line they'll still be worth a decent amount.

Things like power racks, benches and olympic weights hold their value really well. Things like multi-gyms from Argos are worth **** as soon as you buy them.

The only cheap stuff worth buying is probably some olympic dumbells and weights. You can assemble something not terrible for ~£150 (olympic dumbells, a selection of 5, 2.5 and 1.25 plates and a cheap bench). It's nowhere near as good as a proper rack and barbell but it's at least functional and I can do a reasonable amount of stuff with it. The nice thing about it is that it doesn't all instantly become useless if I ever manage to buy a cage and barbell.

Get a £5 exercise mat; a skipping rope; a 7.5kg plate and a 2.5kg plate and a 20kg plate; pull up bar; 10 kg dumbbells if you can afford them

Plank & variations
Push ups
Leg raises & variations
Squats
Pull ups
Go running
Any other total body movement exercises you fancy.
Use the plates to make things harder then you are smashing the above.

You don't need weights machines to get fit. Concentrate on being able to move your own body weight. Go an look at some of the exercises that the insanity programme does. They are totally brutal; no weights.

£80/quid gym is expensive! I live in london and I pay 17.99/month for gym members ship, that's 24/7 gym too! yes it only has free weights and cardio crap but that's all I need.
