Getting ready for new GPU launch

I've started training to get ready for the launch, gotta get in shape, dont wanna pull my back trying to bleed the system or anything.

I recently moved my PC to ground level and I noticed a bit of a dust build up today when I pulled a magnetic dust cover off, meaning it's that darn spring cleaning time again :(

The best reviews are the ones that promissed a 100% increase in performance but only delivered 20/25% :)

Don't get ****y because we're all laughing at you.

If I had to pay for this forum I'd demand a refund on this thread alone.
 
1. do overtime and save money

2.I prepare by making up a story so when the other half sees the bank account she doesn't go mental when a lot of money suddenly leaves one day.

3. Look through at reviews to see which card is the best for the money

4. Make a decision

5. Buy it!

6. Wait for it to arrive

7. It arrives and i get excited like a little kid especially when there is HARIBO!!!!

8. last step, download new drivers depending on which side of the fence the card is from, then remove current drivers. Take out old card and pop in new one. Boot up, install drivers and start enjoying new card possibly benching to see difference and at same time hope the other half doesn't find out what i really spent the money on.

Same as me then (Except I don't need to do step 2 :D)
 
With a watercooled system graphics card upgrades are very easy. You look at the price of waterblocks, say "**** that ****" and then grab a cup of tea and play some video games.

That being said before maxwell came out I did sell a 660 and 680 on the bay for a lot more money than they were after it came out. Probably the smart thing to do.
 
Maybe make a list of the games that my current card struggles with and benchmark them, then load them up once the new card is installed and try and make myself feel slightly less guilty about my purchase once I see the improvement in performance :)
