i wouldn't want to scratch the paint, which is undeniably the aspect of the car in the best condition

I had hair down to my waist before I took the plunge and chopped it all off. That was 4 years ago. I still have short hair but by the power of greyskull I miss my hair. Especially at gigs.

I don't understand why your wife would want you to cut your hair.
I think men with long hair are extremely attractive depending on the man, saying that my husband is bald but has a goatee to make up for it

I too, had long hair for many years - I let it grow from the age of about 18. With the occasional trim to remove split ends it was long enough to sit on for most of the time until I was about 26/27, then I cropped it a little so it was about level with the middle of my chest.
Into my early 30's it got a little shorter still, to about shoulder length.
Last new years morning I took the clippers to it #4 all over, I burnt out the clippers in the process lol.
Why? Well, a few reasons really. I got tired of the maintenance of it, the spartan single life seemed to call for something a little less time consuming. I felt like a change of appearance after a big part of my life altered the year before.
It was a bit of a shock after the deed was done... who was this short haired nutter looking out of the mirror at me?
Not to mention having to think about warm hats in the winter.
Now I just run the clippers over it every 6-8 weeks with the longest guard, 25mm I think. I cannot think for the life of me why I didn't cut it sooner.
