GFX card died time for new stuff!

Ok i swapped out the current ram to the one you recommended! but can't find the ssd that you talked about also why change it? . As for the cpu cooler wonder if it best idea just to buy a new one
 
lol the ram is going to make next to no difference, the other stuff matched the mobo better :)

and yeh id go vertex4 if i was choosing but they not in stock
 
Cheers mate, anyone got a idea on how long it takes to get OCZ Vertex 4 instock? but as for ram ill prob flip a coin.

In total should come around £900 but that is fine. Overall everything should come together easy not rocket science. Either that or get a prebuilt mobo bundle with overclocking but meh.

Did anyone get back to me with the mobo question about updating it? Asked if i update the bios or chipset once i install windows on the ssd or do i have to get a usb stick or disk and put the update on there?
 
Ask in the customer service section as to when the Vertex4 is due back.

There are the Samsung and Intel that are instock.
 
Also you are in that catch22 position of waiting to order when everything is instock, the CPU goes back up by £20 as it's on today only deal that ends at 09.00hrs tomorrow morning (or if the stock allocation runs out first, 32 pieces left)

Order now and the goods get dispatched when its all in stock, or the SSD may follow at a later time.


Or just pick a SSD thats in stock.
 
Ive got one question.

you say you got your 580 last march (2011) surely it's under warranty still and you will be able to get it replaced surely :)
 
isnt going to make much difference at lower capacity
samsung and crucial have the better controllers
vertex4 seems faster than most at lower capacity
the new samsung 840 pro is fastest of all :)
 
Ok sorted i placed my order ;D

Hopefuly this will go straight in place and no hiccups only thing im concerned about is mobo/bios updating since i never done it before and i hear bad things can go wrong.
 
The Crucial M4 has much lower write speeds and currently the firmware seems lacking with a few people reporting issues with the latest.
