GFX time :) bye bye X1900's :D

I have time to save for an upgrade so the 5870 isn't at a loss atm :)

planning on getting another 5870 in a couple of weeks also (Maybe)
I really don't think you should get another 5870 for xfire until you upgrade the rest of you system (namely CPU and motherboard).

I'm not saying you shouldn't get another 5870 for xfire, but it is not gonna give you any performance boost with your current system with the CPU being the limiting factor. You would see more performance boost upgrading to socket 1366 i7 920/930 and overclocking to 4GHz using a single 5870 to probably 90%-100% by being able to feed it data/work at much faster rate. If you want to add another 5870, leave it till after you upgrade your CPU.

Usually socket 1156 i5 750 would be a decent upgrade for most people, but the since the cheapest 1156 motherboard that can run xfire/SLI properly with at least 8x/8x lanes costing around £140 (instead of decent standard 1156 motherboard that cost only around £85), most people that planning on going xfire/SLI would go i7 920/930 instead of i5 750.
