GFX Upgrade

I left everything intact, drivers everything. I’m now scared of turning it off! Anything I can do to try diagnose the issue from where I am?

Your going to have to turn it off at some point, can't say what the issue is but it could be the higher ram setting messed with the system some how.

Is it stable with your old ram or are you using the new ?

Was the 3600mhz 16gb or 32gb.

You really need to unistall the old and drives and install the nvidia driver.

Use this to uninstall the old drivers.

Oh I did uninstall the Amd drivers. Everything was working on Friday night. New gpu and ram at 3600mhz. I got 2x 8gb 3600mhz ram.

my process was this: Power down. Remove cables. Remove old ram. Install new. Boot up. Only working at 2400mhz. Look for solution. Update bios on mobo. Set ram to work at 3600mhz via option in bios. Boot up. All good. uninstall amd drivers. Power down. Install new gpu. Booted. No boot. Booted again. Install Nvidia drivers. All good. Play a few games of warzone and then turn off as usual. System seemed fine although I stopped playing because of a direct x crash which I used to get with the old card.
Turn it on yesterday, didn’t boot first time but got it second. Printed a document off. Powered down. Then in the evening, no booting whatsoever.
Finally booted out of the blue earlier as described

seems stable now running old ram

I see there was a happy ending to your story... did you turned it off? :)
We shall find out later today. Left it on all day yesterday, played some warzone in the evening, everything was fine. Will test when I’m home from work tonight.
One thing I was thinking to try was inserting the new 8gb ram modules instead of 2 4gb ones and letting them work at 2400mhz rather than sending back

check how high it will let you clock.. 2400mhz is base spec so it should run..
you might be able to use the full potential when you upgrade in the future
