Hi , at the moment i am running XP on a single 320 seagate , have another identicle 1 that i fancy RAID 0 ing .
My question is can i ghost my current XP installation , format both drives and turn them into RAID 0 then copy my XP backup onto them . seems quicker than reinstalling everything.
Or am i asking for trouble.(not the RAID 0 the backup bit).
(Not the system below , its another one)

You would need to get the correct RAID drivers loaded in the existing installation. The problem is you need to boot the system with the SATA controller in RAID mode to do that and Windows won't boot in that state unless the drivers are loaded - catch 22.

If the machine in question has two SATA controllers then you can get round it by shuffling the drive between controllers while you change the controller mode but if you only have a single controller then it's a reinstall job.
