Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2

From what I have seen its better than the first one, I did not like the first one set in that city, the second one seems to be set in the desert or something which I like better, allthough I only played it for about 5 mins and god annoyed with the xbox 360 controller, but as someone said they aint both the same for PC and Xbox360 so I cant really say.

The lighting method the game engine uses doesn't support true AA. I read somewhere that this limitation will apparently be lifted under DX10, but there isn't anything concrete yet.

Yes this is true similar to UT3. You will need DX10 to use true MSAA in that. DX9 version uses this type of "Edge Smoothing".

Don't mean to go off-topic, but isn't this the type of AA that ATi have been banging on about? Apparently the HD2900 architecture is more optimised for this.

Looks great, Think il pick a copy up today :).

I can live the edge smoothing, Not the end of the world without AA, Would a lot better with it though IMO.

Is the PhysX card worth a look at with this game? Or is just one level that uses the card?.

i dl the demo but couldnt play it unless i installed the ageia drivers, and i dont even have a physix card :(

You need to install the physx drivers even though you dont have a physx card.

Nah no biggie, dont understand why we need the drivers when we dont have the card though.

Because even without the card the game uses Ageia software physics. So stick em' on sucker and stop complaining :p

the game crashes for me after about 20mins of gameplay, the sound starts looping then its reset time. patched it up still no joy. demo ran fine
