Ghost

Used symantec ghost suite 2.5 today, worked fine from what I can see. When I unplugged old drive and tried booting from new one it said boot failure please insert book disk, or something along those lines. I'm using vista and heard that could be my sticking point. I booted off the old drive fine and the new disk is in and had a look and all the folders and everything seems to be there so can't understand what its missing.

Is there any help you guys can give me? Cheers.

You copied the partition+all the data therein, but did you make the drive Active and Bootable? (it's an option in Ghost when you do a system restore, not sure of the precise syntax with your version)

I did how a friend told me to do it over the phone, he's going to check his notes at work to see how to sort it, was asking on here in case it could be done sooner

Problem sorted. had to use vista disk to boot and use command prompt to set the partition on the disk as active.
