Ghostbusters pc = no multiplayer

So heres their excuse about mp on the pc

Multiplayer for the PC version of Ghostbusters is something that Threewave and Terminal Reality always wanted to do. However, our focus was on making the console version the best that they could be - an experience that allows multiple players to re-live and re-fight many of the themes from the movies. When we looked at the resources necessary to pull off multiplayer on the consoles and the PC, it became a question of what could we do and still be excellent in our execution. We couldn't do all versions with multiplayer simultaneously with the resources that we had available - there was simply too much to do. Something would have to suffer. Therefore, we kept our focus on making the console versions deliver on the promise of being an integral player on the Ghostbusters team.

So in other words, screw the 260 million+ online pc gamers and concentrate on the fledgling console online component....

PC gaming really is getting the shaft on this one.

No MP
No trophies, unlockables, achievements or GFWL so no replay value
No EU release for 6 months

No surprise that its out in the wild this morning and getting hammered on its way to becoming another Spore...........

Could the mp be in a patch? Could it just be a hidden feature that modders might be able to unlock does anyone think?

I wonder if they will do a special edition version later with mp in.

No chance the 3rd party developer did not even bother coding the MP for PC.

Such a joke as taking down staypuft & other ghosts or crossing the streams was surely part of the appeal of this game. Co-op ghostbusting could have been great instead they make a lite PC version with vastly superior graphics to the consoles but vastly inferior features. In the US its also been reported the retail game has basic installation problems unless you have it installed on your Windows drive its a PIA to get to work then if you put it on a non Windows drive and do the workaround for this many are reporting no audio & or video in the cutscenes.

Another total disaster for the PC.............. which BTW they made sure is the only version with online authentication DRM :( This year it has become pretty obvious that PC gaming is pretty much an afterthought now with most publishers and TBH I do not see it getting much better anytime soon.

I'm not really interested in this game but if that is there attitude towards the pc why on earth did they release it for the pc considering the backlash they would expect from the pc version missing an important aspect of the game.

Talk about the glass being half empty and looking to make a few quid from releasing an inferior version.

Also, considering their attitude I wouldn't even bother buying it for the 360 or ps3.

So you will be pirating it then? No wonder we have a bad name as pc users lol

I was expecting something like left4dead with that type of coop style. That would have been classic. Instead we get a borefest of a game. Shame.

Screw them, they screw us and they reap the consequences. VIVE LA PC GAMING!!!! :p

Even the installer is bugged, Custom install fails apparently (you have to then copy contents from the setup bin dir) but easy install works fine.

Lol.

Still, long as it plays well with the 360 pad and the graphics/jokes are win then as a single player game it should be a laugh.

Even with multiplayer missing the SP aspect of the game itself is pretty fun I have to say!
