Ghostbusters Reboot

Did anyone watch The Real Ghosbusters cartoon back in the 80s/90s? The Boogyman episode remains the scariest bit of TV I've ever seen. I notice it's on Youtube, but am not sure I should reopen that particular Pandoras box of fear...

(will reserve judgement on the movie reboot. It'll probably be crap, but how often are remakes ever particularly good?)
 
I really like Wiig but this should never have been made, it'll probably have lots of 'topical' feminist jokes and a tonne of effects thrown at it. I hope it bombs and hollywood thinks twice about remaking everything with a pulse.

Yeah I used to watch that. Not sure if I saw the Boogieman one though. If I did, I've forgotten about it! :o

Hmm, I haven't the faintest idea what one it was I can remember but what was chilling was the character was a huge jet black thing. Hanging out in the Ghostbusters building? Talking to Janine when she had her back turned, it would turn nasty.

I think it disguised itself as an old woman.

This looks super bad, so where's the actual trailer? surely there should be one soon. but first images I feel this looks absolute tripe.

That might be the Grundel episode. I've been googling, as I actually watched the Boogeyman episode on YT yesterday, and it wasn't the one which creeped me out as a child - turns out it was a follow up episode "the boogeyman returns" which did it. The Grundel episode is also mentioned across the net as a scary one.

Damn! I have no memory of this looking like a dinosaur and damn! It was 1986... I don't remember seeing this until 89/90.
