** GIBBO's EXPLANATION OF THE NEW AMD LINEUP - WHICH ONE SHOULD I BUY? **

Great chart which makes things very clear to understand.

I do think best bang for buck is a 7850 overclock to 1200/1450!

I've been out of the hardware for so long I didnt even know AMD were bringing out a new card...

But I have to ask. If these new cards are just rebadged older cards....whats the point?

Gibbo I notice that you are still including the gold silver and bronze game bundles even thought according to reviewers the new 200 series is not included in the never settle bundle. I assume this is just OCUK doing this and not a directive from AMD, does this also mean that vouchers might run out without warning?

Moving on to retail matters, buyers of the 200 series will want to pay attention to the fact that the 200 series is not currently part of Never Settle Forever. AMD’s video game bundle program is not being extended to the 200 series at this time, so on top of the price cuts for the 7000 series they will also have an active game bundle while the 200 series does not. AMD for their part isn’t saying anything concrete about the future, but they are strongly hinting that this is temporary, and that the 200 series will be added later after the 7000 series is cleared out in order to give buyers an extra incentive to pick up a 7000 series card first. Given AMD’s situation it makes a lot of sense, but it means we’re in a weird position where in the first time for over a year it’s NVIDIA that has the better bundle, with their current Batman: Arkham Origins bundle.

I was going to get a 760, ended up getting a 670 on a today only offer. Cracking card. It is faster than a stock 680 now i'm done with it :p

me too, got the Asus Direct CU II GTX670 about 2 months back. if I was buying now I'd get the HD7970 for few quid more, but selling the games would make up the difference anyway.

Correct.
Now the system works automatically so if a product shows a free item, you will get it, if no free item is showing on the product, then you get nothing. So now you get warning. :)

Out of curiousity, how much do you have to overclock a 670 to match 680 stock performance? im using a 670 ftw

There isn't much in it to begin with really, as said below, some pre-OC'd cards match up to the 680 anyway. :)

According to online reviews of the gtx 670 ftw it is already on par with its core clock with a gtx 680.

The FTW is clocked to 1084MHz. I'm running my DCu2 at 1230MHz. :)

Great chart Gibbo, really clears things up, quick and easy reference style!

So for those of us who got a 7950 for ~£160 that easily clocks past 7970 speeds (mine easily does 1100/5600) have got a card that rivals the 280X and 770 for £100 less! Schweeeet! ;)

Yes!

The 7970 matrix is really testing my resolve, especially now that I've seen it for £226 at a competitor. I'm trying to hold off buying a graphics card for the time being, if I did go with a 7970 I'll need 2talkingbof which will they fit on an Asus Maximus vi formula with a pci-e sound card?) to power the dell u2711 monitor which'll set me back best part of £500 which I can't currently afford(nor justify).
