giffgaff sim

You Pay GiffGaf £10

This appears on your account as £10 airtime credit which you can use at PAYG rates. (10/min, 6/text text)

OR

Instead of using it for PAYG credit you can use it to buy a goodybag straight away. This then gives you the free minutes and texts and data.

However after 30 days the goodybag runs out regardless of how much you have left.
If you use more minutes than are in the goodbybag, you get charged at PAYG rates but because you changed your £10 credit into this goodybag, you can't make calls as you don't have any credit.

You Pay giffgaff again and off you go.

the only problem is if you buy a goodybag and run out of minutes in the middle of the month, you can't get another goodybag, you have to use PAYG credit.

So an extra 50% cost for 50mins + unlimited o2-O2 calls and less Internet. unless you absolutely use the minutes.
Doesn't sound like a bargain to me.

Or compared to the £15 goody bag you get 100mins less, less Internet but unlimited O2-O2 calls.
And same network calls are included becuase for most people they are useles

Giffgaff works really well, much better than simplicity.

The first month you need to put credit on it and then buy the goody bag (£10 is the one you want)
From then on you buy a goody bag every month and that covers 99% of your usage, occasionally you make a call to a non covered number or text a premium service or even perhaps forget to renew your goody bag and that eats into your original £10 credit but for the most part it just stays there, think of it more like an overdraught of £10 credit that you won't need.

It will only cost you £10 a month after that first month.

Got three of my family on it now, 2 of them under 16 and its saved a massive amount of money for them.

Another vote for GG, happily been using them for the last few months after leaving o2, data usage works fine for me, unlimited texts etc already mentioned.

But the best thing is the referral, you can £5 for everyone you refer, once they activate and top up and they get £5 free credit too, also get payback for posting on their forums and helping out.

You get 2 paybacks a year, which you can either take as money or use towards credit or donate to charity, by doing this I haven't actually used any of my own money as my payback has covered my monthly £10 for the last few months. Quids in :D

Oh and free 0800 calls is a bliss.

I just purchased a £10 GiffGaff goody bag to test out the water for a month. I wish I never bothered.

The data speed of GiffGaff (in this area at least) is appalling. I'm talking 5 seconds to load Google's homepage.

I must be in a crowded O2 area as my signal strengh is max and I am connected via HSDPA.

I've been on giffgaff for a week or so now and seem to get about 1.5mb - 2.3mb. This being my first smartphone i've no idea if thats good/bad/average.

Switched a couple of weeks ago to giffgaff impressed so far with prices etc.

I get about 1.5-2mb on gg, on three I was getting 4.5ish.

After an hour of on and off testing I am consistently getting 0.5mb-0.8mb on GiffGaff.

I won't be sticking with them if this is how the network is in this area. I'm very disappoint! After hearing all the praises for GiffGaff, it seems their network in this area is over subscribed/rubbish.

Switching back to Vodafone I'm getting 3mb and much faster pings.

O2 is known to be hit and miss when it comes to speeds.

The thing that put me off giffgaff was the image compression. I didn't get this on Three or Vodafone.

It looks like they have no desire to get rid of it.

3 three seem to do a sim only rolling contract with unlimited data so i might give them a go, see if they're any better in my area.

When they activate BiS this month it will be £13pcm for me which I think is an awesome deal, but still wondering if there is anything cheaper haha?

Will ask T-Mobile retentions if they can better that though when I ring up for my PAC but I think they will tell me to gtfo!

This is what I plan to do, it's more money at £15 a month. But I have a feeling the performance in this area will be better as a know a few people who are on 3.

is that unlimited texts to any network and free calls that are part of the inclusive minutes (goodybag) to nay network also?
