Gigabyte 1080TI Black - Horid noise when playing games

I have said before be careful where you by Gigabyte cards from they have had to many screamers with this power phase design.

its rated higher then FE editions which had bad coil when under water , but which again 50% of the time can be dialed down simply by the user .

Every card made form any vendor gets a quick testing in a massive factory - a loud factory and staff with Headphones can't pick it up- and im sure the chinese staff are under the clock.

Running the VRMs in (i know such a bad term of words) can often help the card but will never cure nay coil whine- dont think ever ever received a card without coil whine running Unigine on any setting

Why would it matter where you buy them from? If its the same model of card its going to have the same power phase.

Some retailers make it very easy for you to exchange or get a refund whilst others can present a challenge.

That is why I chose carefully when I bought my 27" IPS monitor. It took three before I got one that worked well enough to be considered a keeper, and I'm not that fussy.....!

Had similar issue with an msi 780
When playing borderlands 2 (only game i played) at ultra settings, the card was mega loud
Had a pretty new evga psu and was fine using my 670.
Tried everything, turned out to be the psu
Bought a superflower 650w and it went away completely
Not saying same problem for you, but a possibility

Hi, I am going to be getting a 1080 ti very soon and just considering this or holding or for a deal on zotac or evga, just a but unsure of the lack of back plate, in a windowed case, and the possible coil wine
