OK, I know a lot of folks have bought these cards over the last few weeks so I thought I'd start a thread were we could compare overclocks. It'd be interesting to see if the SOCs are actually any better at overclocking over 820 core compared to the SE.

Anyway, mine:

Voltage: 1.1125v
Core: 830MHz
Shader: 1660MHz
Memory: 2100MHz

I've managed to push mine up to 860 on these volts and was stable in everything other than OCCT, where I got 100s of errors inside 5 minutes, so I scaled back my core clock a little.

850
2100 ram

1.06v

I'm quite sure the card will do much more but I dont want to increase volts that much.

There's no way I'd get close to that on my SE. Looks like difference between the SE and SOC is more than the pre-OC and dual bios then? Seems like the SOC are much higher binned chips...

I have an Asus card and can run it at 870/1742/2000 at 1.050v perfectly stable. This however can make it a little toasty or loud on hot days so i just run it 24/7 at 800/1600/2000 on 1.000v and keep it from going above 65% fan speed.

I read somewhere, can't remember where, that memory clocking has little effect on frames.

The same thing happened to a friend on his 570. Leaving the memory at stock gave him a massive core overclock. Clocking the memory resulted in a much lower core clock, even with voltage.

At 840 core my 480 gets about 5700 graphics score in 3dmark 11

Hm, I get 5738 at 800mhz

At 870mhz i get 6081

What i don't understand about 3dmark is why my physics score is lower when my GPU is at 870mhz but my combined score goes through the roof!

For example, this is the highest score for an i5 2500k and single GTX 480 combo:

His GPU and CPU are both running at higher speeds than mine but my combined score is well over 300 marks bigger. Weird.

4090 on 850w = BOOM
890mhz
1.125v
default on memory
SE version only not the overclocked one and stuck a load of ramsinks on the back of it to help.
I run with this 24/7
Temps are under 80 always and the fan doesn't really make much noise.

Nice card man, I struggle for 850 stable at those volts.

I am thinking of Overclocking my SE for games such as: Witcher 2, Metro 2033, Crysis, Shogun 2 and other high end games.

will try to keep stock volts, just bump mhz's and see what I can get.

What sort of Temps you are getting with you OC guys?
