****Gigabyte Osmium keyboard, Krypton mouse and Krypton pad review****

Been running an Osmium for a few months now, often have phone (Galaxy S3) near it without issue, and my son spends 3+ hours a day on it with his iPhone 4S next to it and has never had an issue.

The keyboard works with just the USB2 plugged in, the USB3 is just a pass through cable to the port on the side of the keyboard.

Have had a stuck key twice, but only twice so am annoyance rather than a major issue for me.

I haven't had an issue with the software on Windows 7 x64, but I've never tried to record or use macros on the keyboard, so I may just never have triggered that problem. The light on my keyboard changes colour when pressed, switches on/off with my PC, and goes back to whatever colour it was set to when my PC starts up.

I definitely think you might have a dodgy keyboard there. Have you tried changing the USB2 to a different port, maybe the current one is set to provide power while the PC is off, and that's causing some of your issues. Also, what phone are you experiencing issues with?

Stulid, how are you getting on with the keyboard, mouse & pad (assuming you've still got them)?

I'm in the market for all 3 items, so interested in the longevity of the Gigabyte stuff :)

Still going strong.

The front edge of the mouse pad still looks great (the hard side) as thats all I use with the ceramic feet.

Received my Osmium in March last year, and it's still going very strong. I blow it out with an air duster can every few months and it looks as good as the day I opened it and works perfectly (although I've now had three instances where the software decided a key was still being pressed until I pressed it again).

It doesn't have an easy life - my 15 year old spends 3+ hours each weekday and all day weekends on it (12+ hours per day) unless I kick him off to use it myself. His main game for the past 6 months is Osu, which seems to involve hitting the same two keys many times a second, for us old-uns think Daley Thompson's Decathlon and you'll be about right. He also has made no attempt to learn not to bottom keys out, so simply smacks them all the way to the bottom every single time. If it's survived his use for this long without breaking then it's definitely a sturdy and hard wearing product to be recommend in my opinion. If it dies tomorrow, I'll be replacing it with another Osmium.

Haven't got the mouse or pad so can't comment on those.

After an initial problem with usb not being detected (fixed by a firmware update) my osmium has been faultless too. Lovely keyboard and a joy to use.

I do rather wish it came with a dustcover like the ducky range do but you cant have everything i guess. Im currently using a beer towel as a classy substitute when im out at work etc (the cat likes to sleep on the desk and has no respect for expensive PC parts).

My cats used to try to sit on my last keyboard, annoying when I was using it. Put a cardboard box on the table next to the PC and they haven't looked twice at the keyboard since.
