It could possibly do with a more in depth look at OCing. Vdroop, bus clocking etc. From what I was reading last night in other reviews (including that vortez one) and user reports, it's not a very good clocker.
Before I would dare go near another GB X79 board I would want to be sure of 2 things.
1: Clocks can be sustained under load without throttling.
The UD X79 series couldn't maintain high loads without throttling.
I have an X79 UD7 that is useless in this regard.
2: PCIe 3 signalling works properly and can be enabled with the NV 6x series without lockups /black screens.
