Thought it would be a good idea to set this up as many people seem to be interested in it.

I have a question.

I wanna install the Intel VGA driver for use with Lucid MVP.

When I run the installer, I get an error: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing".

Is there something in BIOS that needs enabling?

Thanks.

Ive got a Z77-D3H running the f14 bios, with a i5 3570k at 4.3ghz and 8gb of Corsair Vengeance Low Profile.

Im using a Samsung 256GB SSD 830 on one of the SATAIII ports and 3x 1gb harddrives running in Raid 5.

Not had any problems at all with any of my system at all, ive had moments where I thought maybe I should have gone for the Z77X-UD3H but i dont intend to SLi and every thing works fine as it is.

Is the onboard gpu set to enabled in the BIOS?

I am also quite happy with this board, although I have encountered a strange problem which I believe is related to the MB in one way or another.

Basically using a data dock built into my case (coolermaster 690) connected to sata port 2, it is disconnecting another sata port which one of my hdd's is connected to internally. I tried moving the internet hdd to another port but it still disables this HDD, very odd.

Please see below or post here if you have any ideas what to do?

I've had this board for the past week and I can't get it to post, the most I can get it to do is make the PSU fan spin once and that's it!

I have this board,

My first board ive spent more than £40 on and so far it is impressive.

It is in my htpc.

I had one issue with ahci, i could not install windows 7 on my ssd with it enabled. I imagine this is to do with the age of my windows 7 disc though.
Will re look into that when i buy a new ssd

Bios reset as in discharge the cmos i think he means.

Lauzmmj. Maybe shorting is causing the no power or maybe something isnt seated right i.e a gfx card not pushed in properly or cpu incorrectly mounted or dodgy ram (try 1 stick at a time in the mb not both see how that works).

Also i dunno if it will help but try holding del key down when its off and turn it on by case power button while still holding del. Sometimes on motherboards this helps sort the bios and stuff out and makes it post. Worth a try?

It is a bit disappointing this thread when people recommend this board a lot but there's not much general fandom talk going on in this thread about it. Why is that?

Yep, that's what I meant. :D

I see your point Skeet, but for me there's no good or bad to discuss really. It's a solid board that does exactly what it says on the tin, can't fault it for that. I'll tell you what I do like, and what I don't like though...

I do like: Intel SRT, UEFI BIOS, plenty of SATA ports, good amount of fan headers (more on this in a moment), price point, and PCI-E layout.

I don't like: Position on the power connectors (running in an old ATC-201 based case, so probably not fair to criticise the board too much lol), the fact the fan headers only control speed if you're using PWM fans and no SLI support.

That said, look at the price of the board and the other features and it's a steal for what you get. :)

Btw about fan speed control, i do believe this board does have volt control on at least one or two of the fan headers but not all of them. I read this on some other forum somewhere. So in theory you might be able to volt control them with speedfan or something or in the bios.

The board, while nice i do wish the ddr colours were nicer as they look a bit naff and the pci old slots could have been nicer colour too. The sata ports look a bit all over the place and spaced out. Would be nice if they were more organised or right angled like the sata 6gbs ports are. Thats all i can based on visuals for now, rest looks fine. Oh tho i would have liked to see another pci-e mini slot near the end of the mb instead of 2 pci normal slots because if i got a soundcard which was pci-e mini i think the only place i could place it would be above the gfx card but i duno if it would fit because the 570 phantom i have is 2.5 slot and is beefy lookin. I havent assembled it yet but i do worry about soundcard upgradability with the board based on the gfx card size.

Edit - about the fan control stuff.
