Hey guys.

I have the freezing problem that others are talking about on the D3H Mobo..

System
Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77
Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz
Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950
GeIL EVO Leggera 16GB 1866mhz (running @ 1333mhz someone said it helps)
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit
Corsair TX650W

I get random freezing but the system never randomly powers down.
It happens when using both internal graphics or using the 7950

I've tried all the fixes.
BCLK 100.1
Disable C3/C6
XMP Profile Enabled
Windows set to High Performance
Increased Vcore slightly over auto
& a couple of other tweaks which I can't remember rite now..

I'm at my wits end with this board :(
only had it since Sat 02/02 (less than a week ago)

Anyone else know of any fixes to this?
Would I be covered by the 14 day Satisfaction Guarantee? Because I'm certainly not satisfied with this Mobo :(

Thanks Guys!

Have you got any PCI Cards (not PCI-E) e.g. sound card/tv-card....

When I looked at Z77 boards I heard that there was some issues with the way PCI was implemented - hence the reason I went for a MSI Z77A-G45 that had no PCI.

Assume you have tried resetting back to BIOS/UEFI Defaults and running everything absolutely at fail-safe settings e.g. not using XMP etc.

Yeah I have a belkin wireless PCI card, but the freezing happened before I installed the card.

The freezing happened within the first couple of boots with everything set at Auto.. I tried changing one thing at a time to solve the problem but it still happens.

what bios version are you using? could try with just 8gb of memory to see if freezing stops??

with 16gb you might need upto 1.65v dram voltage or enable x.m.p if your memory supports it

it should work fine no matter what revision it is

I have XMP Enabled but the dram voltage is set to 1.55v (My ram says it's supported to 1.5v so would 1.65v be ok?)
Not tried just one stick yet.

I'm on F18

im running a beta on my z77x up4 th,and it fixed a lot of issues for me,

plus you can always flash back to previous bios

cpu voltage response set to fast helps with stability and freezing

you could try upto 1.6v then for dram voltage but yeah it would be ok for testing

Nope, I'm running F18.

Didn't know whether it was a good idea to run F19 as it's only Beta.

Not touched the CPU Voltage Response yet. Will try that next. (In work ATM)

You shouldn't need to. The only things I changed in my BIOS was to set SATA to AHCI mode, to set the multiplier to 46 and the core voltage to 1.35v. Also disabled C1E

yeah but niel1975 is running different make of ram so it might be affecting things, its worth a try

Yeah I am running 4x 4GB of RAM for a couple of years whereas 2x 8GB is more popular now. When I bought my RAM two years ago 8GB sticks were really expensive.

I have two Crucial sticks and two Micron sticks which are essentially the same thing.

I just got mine yesterday and its the v1,0

I hope you don't get the same problems as me mate...
it's a nightmare!!

sometime the system will be stable for hours... other times it'll freeze seconds after booting into windows..

I wish I'd bought a different mobo.. so many people complaining about the same fault.. should have researched better..
