I use the Mach 3 shaver and relatively happy with it.

Has anyone used the new 5 blade Gillette Fusion yet and if so what do you think?
What did you use before and do you think the change is worth it?

Also anyone use the battery operated version and do you think that works or u think its a gimic?

cheers.

It's all a gimmick really mate. If it works well for you don't bother "upgrading", it's only a razor that performs a pretty simple and non-descript job function.

I've used a Mach 3 for the last few years but I'm going back to my Wilkinson Sword, simply because my local shop no longer stocks Gilette blades.

The brand or the number of blades makes precious little difference in my experience. Technique and a good gel/foam/oil/soap is more important.

I have no idea how a razor could be improved by battery operating a part of it. Seriously, it's a sharp piece of metal you drag across your face, what good does the battery do?

I bought the Fusion razor and haven't noticed much difference. Infact, I barely notice the difference between the Fusion and the disposbles i've been using. Not worth the tenner.

I tend to buy new shavers rather than buying new blades, tend to see the shavers reduced. My favourite is Wilkinson Sword Quattro, tried that vibrating one as I got it free but its horrible really cheap razor and the vibration is pointless can see the appeal in a womans version though...

I tried [edit so no rude comments :p - shaving with] one of those vibrating ones years ago when they were big and clunky, was like shaving with a Bic. I'm sure they've advanced but i doubt they'll be any better than a mach 3.

I like the blade on the back of the Fusion. It's very handy for keeping the side burns etc looking sharp.

The battery powers a small device inside the razor that emits Uraniatrilium® ions that attract your facial hair to the Nasa developed blade. ;)

i use mach 3, i think it gives a decent enough shave, hopefully this 5 blade one will lower the cost of the mach 3 blades

i think the battery is supposed 2 raise the hairs from your face or something stupid

Bought an M3 Power battery razor last week to replace my ageing mach 3 which I thought was relatively new and theyve already bought out another!? Cant keep up :p

yeah i just use a quattro, was tempted in superdrug today to try out the new fusion..expensive though! A razor is a razor i think. (i bought some of that new fancy fusion hydra gel tho! :P)

/me looks.... think I have a mach 3, but not one with a battery or anything fancy. I like it, does a good shave.

I could never get on with electric ones, they never seemed to do the job properly.

I have brought the new Fusion power one, i have only used it once and it was just like the mach turbo 3 really i got a bit more shaving rash though but i think thats just because it was a need blade

The new 5 bladed razor is much better then the Mach III. I certainly noticed the difference. It's a much closer shave, although the single blade doesnt really offer any noticeable advantage over the others.

Yeah that fusion is a superior shave.

Did anyone that signed up for the other free one get theirs yet?
I think it was a gillette one?

^^^ That is the fusion. And yep. Got mine a couple of weeks after signing up.
The fusion is a lot better than the mach 3. And its better than the quattro. The best bit is the blade on the back. Keeps sideburns nice and tidy.

I nabbed on of the free Fusion razor when Gilette was giving them out, glad I did too.

Gives a much better shave than my Mach 3 and little to no razor burn.
