Gillette

^^^ That is the fusion. And yep. Got mine a couple of weeks after signing up.
The fusion is a lot better than the mach 3. And its better than the quattro. The best bit is the blade on the back. Keeps sideburns nice and tidy.

hmm yeah lol. No there was a second one posted here as a free gift a few weeks after that and Original Source shower gel type stuff.

It was a wilkinson sword one, to rival the Fusion...

i bought one of the fusion razors and to be honest i think its pretty terrible, the main head is far too big and it doesnt perform as well as i expected.

i prefer the mach 3 to be honest

I have:
Wilkinson Sword: Quattro
Gillette: M3 Power Nitro
Gillette: Fusion

I would say that the Fusion gives me the least pleasure to use and the M3 Power Nitro (with the battery) is the best.

All 3 were used with Gillette shaving gel and King of Shaves soothing gel.

Still using my trusty Sensor Excel, with a paltry two blades. I've had it over 10 years now and never seen the need to upgrade.

More blades just = more cost as far as I can see, and they're expensive enough already tbh.

Question is where does Gillette go from here. Can they possibly get any more blades on to one razor without it "becoming" ridiculous? :p

I use a mach3, it's the first blade i've tried. I can't give an opinion on how good it is because I stupidly used the same blade for weeks to see if it would still work. Only lasted a week then I realised thats how often I need to replace the blade. So I go to Asda and look at the m3 power blades and they cost £6.97 for 4 blades (around £1.74 each). Then I look at the normal gillette blades and they cost almost half of that; £8.03 for 8 blades (so £1 each). The only difference between the 2 blades is that the power ones have an aloe vera strip which is mostly useless after the first shave anyway and hardly worth paying almost double price for your blade.

So this is a warning to all people using mach3's, don't be fooled into paying extortionate amounts for the m3 turbo blades- get the normal gillette ones!

Just incase it wasn't clear, the normal gillete blades WILL fit your m3 razor as it's a standardised fitting.

I signed up for the new Fusion used it last night, got half way through shaving and went back to my Mach3, I found the this was too big and didn't feel as nice on the skin as the mach3.

I too is hoping that the price of the mach3 blades will come down a little now that the Fusion is out.

Can you justify to yourself paying extra for them knowing the only difference between them and the normal gillette blades is the aloe strip?

I've not used any other blades other than the ones that come with the mach3, but if i can use normal gillette blades then i might swap to them.

I use a Mach 3 power, the battery does make a small difference I find. With standard M3 blades (the green ones are a con) and Nitro gel :)

I think they have lost the plot this time, yes fair enough the razor is a step on i suppose but the price of the blades is getting obscene, the Fusion blades are £11.00 for 4!!!!!, thats enough to put me off.

I used to use a Sensor, then tried the mach 3, but the blades are more expensive and don't last as long so I switched back. I'm now using Gillette disposibles as a bag of 10 costs less than £4 and they do exactly the same as their more expensive brothers.

I tried the Fusion (with battery) last week moving from a Mach 3 Turbo (another battery one). I have to say I was impressed, the shave is very, very smooth just using a bog-standard Gillette sensitive gel. I don't think it gets any closer than my M3 but it was easier to shave and yes, the trimming blade is very useful to quickly neaten or thin out sideburns when I can't be bothered with my electric trimmer.

Yeah the blades are expensive, but because I don't shave every day I can push the blade a little longer than some. I'll just buy the regular Fusion blades - anyone know the difference bar colour? I used to use regular M3 blades on my turbo (or whatever it's called...) and I could only see colour differences. And of course the useless Aloe strip!

 ouch
x10 platinum edged stainless steel blades (the double edged sort for old fashioned 'safety razors') less than a fiver including P&P, or less than that for willkinson sword blades from tesco or somesutch. El-cheaperino! and they seem to do just as good a job as all of this 'mach 5000' -more blades than you can sensibly fit on yer face, with vibrating pleasure widjet. :D

I don't get the benefits of these uber razors. I have tried them but go back to my trusty Wilkinson Sword disposable ones and at 10 for £3 I have found them the best cost option.
