Given up something for lent?

No. And didn't even have a pancake on pancake day.

Got home to a promise of pancakes with cream (yum) and found Mrs Cheesyboy had actually bought elmlea (yuk), so skipped it.

I gave up cheese for lent.

In fact I give up cheese for lent every year.

I don't find it too problematic as I don't like cheese.

:) :) :)

There are no sky pixies to sacrifice my health for, so don't feel obliged.
We're not at war so don't need to ration.

Instead of cutting out a negative I've decided to add a positive and so I have the rather vague goal of eating more healthily - hopefully to continue after lent as well :)

I have given up cookies for Lent... I eat too many and they're too expensive for decent ones on a student budget.

No but I'm donating to charity and helping/volunteering at winter shelters instead.

Last year I gave up meat. Wasn't as hard as I had thought. But this year I wanted to do something instead.

BOTW competition....

Quitter! I expected more from you :p

I don't really get a lot of the religious festivals/days so I asked my missus (Irish Catholic - non practising but she used to be until I corrupted her)....
Mr Jesus spent 40 days in the desert so thats why its 40 days long. I spent 3 months in Australia. Didn't seem too difficult to me so its not like he went out of his way. Got a 'look' for that remark.

Easter is the time he came back from the dead so I celebrate with zombies as he is the zombie overlord. This remark earned me a clip round the ear.

Palm Sunday (last week) is when they put palms in the road (like a red carpet, only more...leafy) so it was essentially littering. This earned me a thwack with the zip end of a sofa parasite (cushion), I don't know if this was intentional.

Ash Wednesday (yesterday) is when they burned the palms and a priest puts a cross on your forehead with ash. It is the start of Lent. So if you saw some dirty catholics yesterday, thats why. I got distracted by the TV for a bit of that one and ended up with a dead arm....no idea why but I probably said something witty.

I've given up being cheeky to my missus. It doesn't appear to get me anywhere....

Im trying to walk 500,000 steps this lent (average 12,500) a day.
Quite hard when sat behind a desk all day but hopefully will manage it 20,000 down.
