Giving Battlefield 2 another go

AIX was my preferred mod. Need to re-install it one day.

I find BF2 very bad on the connection side now with Win7 (I think) or just my connection, Seems like constant microstutter, Shame as i could play for hours.

Anyways, how are you and i see *ATG* doesn't exist any more, what happened there.

And you playing bf2 much these days as i havnt seen anyone from *ATG* in any servers except JJ who i think was in the of the Super@ server as an admin.

We should get some sort of reunion going :p
 
i re-installed this recently, could never get into BC2 like i did with BF2 which really stood the test of time for me.. i still find it fun today and could play for hours, quite impressive since i started playing at 2005-10-31 17:54:00 :)
 
Aix is an awesome mod, plenty of servers out there running AIXS too (there own stats server).

*ATG* are still going, just website name changed, I am no longer a member though after I banned a fellow member for being abusive to other people in game and vent, I was told to apologize for doing so and that wasn't happening :p

Quite a few left and went to Super@ after they got rid of the BF2 servers (although they should still have an AIX one up).

Re add me to xfire (kyoukou), I clear my list out after awhile and I think I removed you and lemons as I hadn't seen you online in ages.
 
If you have unlocks on your BF2 account, then you will get them in your AIX account, IF the server has been setup to allow it.

You can't earn your unlocks in AIX though, but tbh most of the new weaps are better anyway.

Think I'll chuck BF2 and AIX back on today, haven't played in awhile :D

Do you play coop or conquest in aix?

Conquest and check out the -DOD- server as it get pretty full just been playing on their ZATAR map, had a good time.

Aye, Some of the weapons were a bit 'noobish' if i remember correctly.

The maps were great, Sniping maps, Vehicle maps, Infantry in maps similar to karkand.

Yeah, The DOD servers were normally full'ish and great fun.

Ok... Just off to install again to refresh my memory...... :D

yeah its the utter noobs game. :p its far easier than BF2 especially flying.

I like how the sniper gets the MP7 as a piece of his standard kit.;)

I like running round with the anti air missile tube thingy. :D

They have no bf2 servers?

Also i have never had xfire. And lemons is pretty much dead PC wise, became a console fag etc etc :p
 
I loved BF2 but it seems so dated since BC2!

I know the accuracy on some guns was poo, there was no bullet time and sometimes a bang-on headshot seemed to completely miss, but I still had lots of fun.
Retards standing on my mines always resulted in me shouting out in all sorts of colourful language.

For all its flaws, BF2 took over 300 hours of my time and I absolutely owned as a sniper on infantry only maps.
I often went round a friend's house with my pc for a whole evening on BF2.

I am afraid to say though that for me, BF2 is now dead.
 
We are trying to get ours live tonight if anyone is interested. Mixed maps, vanilla. 1 week and it goes.

Few of us going to start seeding it at around 7. :)

 
I downloaded it and the mappacks yesterday and extracted them all to the mods/aix/levels folder, how do i run AIX though as the AIX.exe doesnt work :confused: Do i just launch BF2 and AIX as well as BF2 standard servers show up?
