Glasgow Airport-under attack

It is very alarming news for sure. It seems like a botched attempt, and could probably be linked to the botched car nail bombs. I've a faint hunch the culprits are associated with each other closely (same group?).

Sky news is reporting that people removed gas cylinders from the car too.

Quick actions there.

Seriously, I can see some vigilante stuff going on soon, enough is enough now.

The problem with the vigilante stuff is that, of course, it will most likely target innocent people based on some idiots opinion of mob justice, like the mob that beat up a pediatrician because they mistook his profession for a paedophile.

Yours was deleted because of the quote.
Oh right, my bad - didn't notice a sweary in the quote :o

I'm fed up with Muslims - they're the highest risk to security in this country at the moment. When I was younger I had a muslim best friend, I always remember him when I think about my opinion on Muslims - he was a great mate. But the boats burnt now - when I hear the words "Muslim" or "Islam", I think the word Terrorist. I say send them back!

N.Ireland next? First England, then Scotland, possibly Wales next too?

Think N.Ireland is too small of a target. And if it ever did happen all it would mean is road blocks out again checking cars. Was done for years over here by the paramility groups so can be set up easy again and nothing will get through.

Then my advice for you is take each person as an individual. I know of plenty Christian and Athiest murderers and terrorists yet I don't tar the bulk of population with the same brush.

I have family flying back from holiday to Aldergrove airport, I've got to go pick them up.

Glasgow has a relatively large Asian population so should be "interesting" to see the reaction to this in the next few days.

given the glasgow mindset

you saying that you dont think that these people thought they were muslims?

they were just angry asians right?

I don't care for rash snap judgments. I care about the facts which will know in due course.

yeah I expect there will be a few "retals". I know my neighbors been called back to work(police) and its his day off, so I assume steps are being taken

Do you have to be completely inept to join a terrorist organisation?

The people the other night couldn’t even arrive at the target without crashing into a bin. The other one couldn’t even park legally and managed to get his car towed away.

Now these geniuses set fire to their own car and for some reason think they will still be able to drive it into the target despite the fact they are on fire and there is smoke everywhere.

3 attacks, no fatalities. Not this is a bad thing of course if it sounds like that, just thinking out loud!

If I just grabbed a knife from my Kitchen and ran down the high street stabbing people I could probably kill about 20 people before I get arrested!

Those cretins probably took months planning this.

At least one got badly burnt.

All I can say it that I agree with you, wish it wasn't that way but when I hear the word 'Muslim' or 'Islam' I just think of terrorism. There is only so much of this rubbish that people will put up with and I think we're in for some troubling times ahead.

I just hope no-one got hurt (apart from the idiots that caused it) and that this is the end of it now :(

I think EFour2 is right, I hate to see the look on the people's face here who have made snap judgements on the religious persuasion of these guys when it turns out they are in fact protesting at the lack of decent selection in duty free and are not dirty great big turban wearing hateful Muslamist scumbags
