Last meet ranged from ages 18 to mid 40s so I wouldn't worry too much

Highly unlikely that they would, as long as you are above legal drinking age then it shouldn't be any sort of a problem. In fact being childish can be a positive attribute at meets.
I doubt I'll be back in Scotland in November but I hope the meet goes well.
