You’re invited to put the pieces together. In the follow-up to Rian Johnson's Knives Out, Detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects. Starring Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline with Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.

I'm very confused by the release of this. Has it already been out at cinema, I've missed it, and now it'll be streaming on Netflix?

Or did it never get a cinema release and will only be on Netflix?

Or will they release it at the cinema at the same time as it starts streaming? Or later even?

Cheers! So it did come out at the cinema, but I guess they kept the release small because they want people to sign up to Netflix.

I hadn't been keeping up with this, because Knives Out was on Disney+ a while back, so I had just assumed it would continue to be a Disney property.

Might be a regional thing, as I recall it being on Amazon Prime in Spain and not D+.

With regards to the cinema, iirc, if they release a film for X weeks in the cinema it's eligible for various "Film Awards". If it's direct to streaming then it isn't. They have released a few films like this in the hopes of snagging an Oscar, unsuccessfully so far.

Anyway, just watched it. Very good, possibly better than the 1st. Easily 8/10 maybe higher.

Will post spoiler-ey thoughts later.

I was fully expecting it to flop after the Netflix acquisition and the questionable budget, but it was a great movie.

Assume there will be more movies. Hopefully they keep up the quality.

Watched this last night, me and wife both really like the first one the was a good 8/10. This one however a good movie and was enjoyable to watch just didn’t do it for me. So it’s a 6/10.
