Glastonbury 2023

Now they are playing ‘Down on the Farm’… even I didn’t recognise that one :o

Edit - woo saved by Rocket Queen… but I can’t hear Axl :(

Is the audio mix off for GnR? Axl looks like he’s giving it his all but his vocal is not very loud (there’s some serious competition from the guitars, I know).

His voice is just gone, first song was OK but gets worse as it goes on. His voice was going 25 years ago so surprised its got anything left

I’m pretty sure something is off with the TV mix. It’s a microphone and it’s supposed to amplify his voice appropriately.

Volume keeps jumping up and down, as if there is volume compression that is only temporarily kicking in.

Bit of both I think

On the more chill stuff you can clearly hear him, but when it's energetic and he is running about it's like he is breathless and the mic doesn't pick it up

Slash however is absolutely killing it

I think it's a more technical issue, more or less cuts out in places.

Yup he’s pretty much stood still now singing the start of Civil War and his voice isn’t present in the mix.

I guess the set up might be that the mic is only picking up at ‘louder than normal’ volumes at which point it’s then amplified and compressed. Then his mic isn’t close enough to his mouth or whatever for how the mic is set.

Seems strange to get that wrong at a big show like this though.
