Glastonbury 2023

Gnr have been better than i feared! I am going to see them in Hyde Park next week. I had been told Axels voice has gone, while he is certainly not the singer he used to be, it is not as bad as I was expecting.

Just seen slash is drooling....

Yeah it sounds like the technical issues were really dragging him down.

Sorry.... Total Dog **** Glastonbury!!! All festivals are now same old same old boring rinse repeat!! Too many trying to outdo each other for this car crash tonight!! Download was 14 - 16 June........ Jeez...... WTF will tomorrow bring???

Well it may have been a bit poor in parts but it ended pretty well, last few songs were decent and Welcome to the Jungle and Mr Brownstone combo was good. Better than I was expecting

I managed to stay watching G'N'R up until Slither (about 15mins in) and by then Axel's hilarious continuous off-key singing just wasn't funny any more and I quit watching. Watching the Live crowds positive reactions I might put a little bit of faith in the BBC claim of "TV Axel had a issue but was fine Live" like someone had left a filter/autotune feature switched on the TV output.

Fatboy Slim just knows how to entertain and put a set together that gets people going. Doesn't rely on replaying hits, always mixes things up a bit different, never goes too far down a rabbit hole that you can only enjoy if you're off your ****, keeps it moving along. His Butlins festival last year was great and going again this year, great vibe!
