I'm not a big Cure fan, outside their best known hits, but I'm not going to argue with that bit. The Forest made such an impact on me that I can still remember the room I was in when I heard it for the first time at university in 1981. Ok, and the girl who played it to me. Her name was Nadia, my girlfriend's room mate that year. Haven't seen her since 1981 but I'm still grateful for her introducing me to such a great piece of music.but for me The Forest is their masterpiece. Great stuff.
One of the best routines I’ve ever seen was her performance on Jools Holland of Narcissus is Back, like Tilted, but even better.Christine and the Queens.
And 'Tilted' is so mesmerising and catchy. She looked better with long hair.
Wasn't it a plastic free festival? I thought that is what David Attenborough said.I see the festival attendees left a XXXX storm of rubbish behind them again.
Just been reading up on it now, employed staff going round with backpacks of drinking water, also taps everywhere. Sounds like a big improvement like you say.I looked much better than recent years tbf.
I've just done an extensive search for it, and like yourself I came up with nothing. I found details of the Jools Holland episode from 2016 on the BBC website when she performed Narcissus but it's unfortunately not available anymore. One of the best routines I’ve ever seen was her performance on Jools Holland of Narcissus is Back, like Tilted, but even better.
Can’t find a clip of it anywhere though.![]()
I think they still have her Tilted & a Prince track medley on YouTube from that episode, still cracking though.I've just done an extensive search for it, and like yourself I came up with nothing.
