Why is croatia so hefty?
I don't see why they would be several standard deviations heavier than all the surrounding states.

BMI is a heaight for weight ratio only not an indicator of fat % just weight

the ideal range for all is between 18.4 - 24.9 nowdays the average is slightly higher as the population increases in weight anything over 24.9 is heavy for height andthing below 18.4 is light for height that is all over 30 is techenically obese.

more important is bodyfat %

you can be high BMI and low bodyfat no problem you can be low BMI and High bodyfat more of a problem

so to go on weight alone is a bad way of measuring your health or increased risk to cardiovascular desease of course it can be a contributing factor but weight alone is not necessarily a problem

the best indicators are a combination of bodyfat% combined with BMI combined with waist hip ratio .

This is not going to be right as I have a type of muscular dystrophy and have hardly any mass below the knee as im paralysed in my lower legs and there is less mass on my lower arms due to muscle loss but the rest of me is toned and strong as hell due to weight training to keep me in the best shape I can be.
