argh, now i've spotted a 1.6 GTi on autotrader link

thoughts? going to see it on monday.

That's a Topaz blue, now that one has minging colour coded bumpers but other than that it looks relatively sound. Even if the engine is shafted that's worth getting just because it's a Topaz - it's one of the very rarest 205 GTI colours - Paintguy from here and 205drivers has got a lovely Topaz.

dont worry about rust, they where all galvanised.

Unfortunately 205's can and do rust. But they are a lot better for resisting it than other hatches of the same age.

Check sills, rear 3/4 panel, arches, leading edge of the roof, inner wings, boot floor and front panel.
