GOG Galaxy

Both Origin and Uplay have managed to look different to steam

Just pointing out that it looks similar to steams design, even down to the font.

You have lost me, this seems the same to me

Quite interested in seeing how this works. Just got to wait for my beta access.

Will be the 4th gaming client, albeit Origin and Uplay are only running if I'm playing a specific game.

Had my eye on this since it was announced. Have put myself forward for the beta.

With VALVE insistance on heading towards self implosion by making stupid anti-gamer decisions based solely around profit, GOG could find themselves in a VERY good position moving forward.

Steam was once a solution to the problem, it is now part of the problem and I myself now view Steam as BAD DRM.

As much as I despise exclusivity, GOG could do with a AAA monster exclusive to kick Valve in the pants.

This looks good but I don't see how many of the big game developers are willing to put their games on there?

Some people still do not know GOG is:

Friend of mine on Steam was shocked the other day when I told them it was CD Projekt. Gimpymoo has a point, in fact they should have made W3 exclusive to GOG. Although I think all copies have a code that works on GOG for free as well so that might pull a few users in.

Pointless when Steam already does everything I need it to do and more.

Oh yeah, sorry, completely forgot you are the only person in the universe.

What about people that don't like having DRM that forces them to be online? What if you want a curated marketplace? What if you want to get old games that have had patches made by the store so that they work correctly on modern operating systems?

I thought I had seen something about this in my email and deleted it. Checked and I had received an Alpha Key invite couple of weeks ago. I have just redeemed it and got the Beta straight away.

Have been looking forward to this for a while now, hopefully in the full release or in coming beta releases they'll integrate the windows outline into the application itself :)

Will definitely be using the witcher 3 through GOG instead of steam

Same here looks ok wish there was a way to resize the icons in your library like origin does don't really like big giant icons remind's me to much of windows 95 and the olden days :)

This looks promising. Be nice to have a simple Steam like app to access all my retro games from GOG that are not available on Steam or Origin.

Its a natural progression for gog they should be able to take a good amount of of the digital space from steam, origin and uplay if they get it right and they seem to taking it slow only problem is now they need to get more company's to put there titles on it.

Not saying there going to beat any of the big 3 but they should be able to make a lot of money which will help get more games ect..

Still it helps that lots of people will be getting Galaxy in about 2 weeks time :)
