Going to get one of these but which would you pick?

The Ferrari, even if simply for resale value.

That said, I'd buy neither and get a selection of cars, but that's just me and an urge to satisfy (and probably be disappointed) by past dream cars :p If forced to spend this sort of money, I'd be looking at a Ferrari F40 personally, though that's only because while nice, nothing new massively tickles my fancy, and they also seem to be holding steady values. I'd also be testing XJ220, EB110, Diablo, Countach etc, just to see what they're like :D
 
The Alfa.

Next year or the year after, or maybe the year after that, Ferrari will replace the 430 and it will be yesterdays flavour of the week, just like the 360 is now, and the 355 was before that. However, the 8C is the first Alfa in that kind of league since the SZ, which was produced 20 years ago. I don't see it being replaced any time soon - it will be iconic and special for many years.

Without doubt, the 430 is better when it comes to lap times. I would love one. But I'd feel a like a bit of a burk every time I drove it to the track (although at least that one has a roof). I'd rather have an 8C because it's a little bit more special than 'just another 430'.

Any fool can buy a 430 - it takes a true connoisseur to buy an 8C.
 
Alfa may have better residuals maybe in the long term? Dunno, doubt it matters much anyway. I'd get the Scud because it is meant to be the sharper tool.

Hard decision either way really, can I ask why just the choice between these two?

I have a 997S atm running over 400bhp, I don't need another one!

As for why it's between these 2, they're 2 cars I've never owned, the Alfa is certainly quite unique but the 430 has always been the car I've been looking forward to for a while now. There are other alternatives naturally but these are the two that really caught my eye.

Also the colour in the flesh is actually quite different to how the pictures show it. Personally I quite like it, makes a distinct change from the normal ones you see.
 
Tough one, I like them both for different reasons.

If I had to pick one though it would be the Alfa.

Oh and gold wheels on blue, eugh.
 
I'm Ferrari through and through, so the Scuderia for me, however I would want it in red or maybe black. Although, I would think you wouldnt really lose any money on the 8C through rarity value, so it depends where your loyalties lie I guess!
 
I think the colour of the Ferrari looks awesome, perhaps not the gold but the definitely the blue.

I thought they were only making a handful of those Alfas?
 
If it were me, the alfa - just because I want to own a little bit of that rare and beautiful car.
 
When you are looking to buy a car of this ilk, you want to go with your heart, not your head. Difficult choice, I agree. I would love to be in the position to have to choose but if I was, the Alfa would be where my Dollars went.

It's one of the most beautiful cars ever made in my opinion. ;)
