Going to the pub on xmas day

Xmas drink is one my fav drinks of the whole year. Me and mates go down for a few while the dinner gets cooked. The pub was packed with walks of life familys , couples and groups of lads.Nothing wrong with it IMO. Going on a night time I can see the problem but on th elunch time think its quite normal to be honest

My family go to the pub early on Christmas day to catch up with long time friends. Nice way to start the day really.

I go to the pub every year with my dad for a few pints while mum is getting lunch ready, its a tradition in my family (its only the blokes that go too

My Dads an alcoholic, he has to go to the pub every day (his words not mine) and so as usual on Christmas day he simply had to pop into the pub for "a quick one," mum went to keep an eye on him, my sister and myself managed to get out of going, and went to pick up my ill grandad instead.

Presents opened, veg prepared, meat chucked in the oven then off to the pub for a pint with the in-laws. That's Christmas and each to their own.

The pub round us is open Christmas day for Christmas dinner. A friend of mine goes every year with all their family and they eat in the pub rather than at home.

All us guys in the family head down the local watering hole at around 12pm for an hour whilst Mother prepares the dinner. We have a couple then head back just as dinner is being served. She doesn't want people interfering and house empty of men is probably the best thing at that moment in time.

I'm happy if you wish to think of me as being a sad spanner, whilst I'm enjoying myself for an hour with my family having a quick drink you were sat complaining on the internet. How ironic.

Going to the pub on Christmas Day/Boxing Day would be the last thing I would think of doing. I tend to save the drink for NYE :)
