Going to university with dyslexia final update

Thank you.

I think I also did well at studying because I have done lots low paying jobs and I know what it's like to struggle with not much money and with a family of five I wanted my kids to have a better childhood.
I know money doesn't solve all problems but it can help when you can pay your bills on time and have some left over to take kids outs for a day trip.

I and my wife never had much education and she also went to university a few years before I did, her final year was my start year and we both came out with a first-class degrees now.
So now we both have good jobs earning over double from our previous jobs and this is only the beginning of our careers.

Well, I had my graduation ceremony, and I got my degree; it was very nerve-racking walking on stage.
This was my final part of the university, and I feel sad about it because it was such a significant turning point in my life.
Thank you to everyone who gave me advice and support, this forum has the best group of people.

I was stupid at school and didn't even bother to try, only went to school to see my mates.

GCSEs where a complete failure but I managed fine and got into IT, worked my way up and now head up an IT department for a pharmaceutical company, If I can hit a 6 figure salary with no grades anyone can.

Good grades help you skip all that crap at the beginning but they are not a requirement.

Congrats on the grades and job

Love it! Brilliant stuff. Just shows what hard work and determination can achieve. You should feel extremely proud of yourself.
I do and it's nice to show my kids you can do it if you really want it.

Yeah looking back I wish I did more learning when I was younger, but now I study all the time lol.

Well done!
