Thanks Alibaba99. This is the sort of feedback I was hoping for
I've had it confirmed that it's S2 Exige suspension fitted, not S1.
I drove the first car today. Owner seemed open and knowledgeable about the car. I asked about the engine mounts and he said he would check to see if they have been replaced. I'll ask him to also chase up about the suspension too. When you say it all needs replacing, are you talking only about the bushings or is there more to it?
The car certainly had a direct and raw feel to it but nothing too different to my MR2 in terms of steering and ride. I enjoyed it a lot. Getting in and out was quite a palavour though, even though we had the roof off!
Hopefully going to check out the 2nd this coming weekend.
id say get one if it packs up paw eith credit card. Its summer... kinda You want one of those with roof off around roads. I bet its not fun 2 drive one in November...

Winter in a VX is a nightmare the heating is just...... not even worth turning on.

Mine isn't too bad after 20 minutes. Stock heater too.![]()
My budget stretches to the very bottom of non-written off VX220's

Why buy a nice one in 2 months time when you could buy a tatty one today?
Dogbreath it would. Just have look at s2k insurance prices.... Thats why i dont have one
jdm import itr 600f ukdm s200 1150f almost 2x more
had a look on vx £629.98...
Seems a bit steep I have to agree. I guess a Boxster S would be more of a liability than the VX?
Because nice ones are 2 - 3k more expensive, which I can't save up in a couple of months. I also don't want a spotless example as this will be a daily driver and parked on the road at night.
Also, my current car is due for tax and MOT soon and I fully expect it to need several hundred pounds spent on it to fix rust issues for the MOT.

I'd probably be looking at £7k for my 2003 50k mile non-cat car if I was to sell it.
