Howdy!
I made a post with a spec I am going to purchase soon at: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17712952
On there I have said I will be going for the: Intel Core 2 Quadro Pro Q6600 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail but d1am0nd g33z3r suggested going for a DUO CPU instead?
Now I'm not to fussed about the cash, but if I can save £200 then great. So what would you recommend going for out of:
Intel Core 2 Quadro Pro Q6600 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-143-IN&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=793
and
Intel Core 2 DUO E6700 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.67GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-129-IN&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=793
It will be going on the Asus P5N-E SLi nForce 650 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-221-AS)
What would you recommend... I obviously want to get the most out of it for the longest without having to upgrade for a while... thats why I'm thinking of going the Quadro way?
Also, I don;t plan on overclocking this PC... not until it starts getting dated anyway, so I assume that would make a difference?
Anyone?
