Good acoustic guitar songs to learn for a beginner

Radiohead - Creep

Making a beginner barre himself to death? You're a sadist. :p

Some thoughts...

David Bowie - Drive-in Saturday
David Bowie - Space Oddity
The Kinks - Waterloo Sunset
Lionel Richie - Hello
The Who - Behind Blue Eyes - Has some finger-picking in it.
Radiohead - Street Spirit - Basic finger-picking.
Foo Fighters - Walking after you.
- My Hero

Sunna - I miss
- 7%

Just some for you to ponder over. :)

Babe I'm Gonna Leave You is a lot of fun to play. Has some good strummy bits and the picked bits sound great. Some of the lead bits are quite tricky as well so a lot to keep you amused. The tabs on t'interwebnet are good for it too so you won't have to spend time trying to work it out for yourself.

(Edit: It's by Led Zeppelin in case you're uncultured enough to have never heard of it)

Anything from the 'Damnation' album by Opeth is great, it has a lot of unusual chords that make the songs more interesting...

Try 'In My Time of Need'. Or maybe 'Harvest' from Blackwater Park.
