Yeah, a month. Obviously, they want to get as close to the max (30 days?) as possible, for maximum interest.

Can't remember exactly when the cheque arrived but it was roughly 2 weeks after the e-mail.

The e-mail actually states:

Your rebate payment of £100 will be sent by cheque made payable to the company or individual name (*insert name here*) to the address below within 28 days of this email acknowledgement.

Got mine today but wondering which OS to install on it.

I will just be using it to play my blurays (MKVs) so need something simple for it work with MakeMKV and my Macbook. Any suggestions? Will WHS be ok or should I get something else?

I have the esata connected to an icybox with the 2.5 & 3.5.. Unfortunately when pluggin the esata into either one it doesnt show up at all.. just stays RED on the icybox its connected to.

Plugging into either for onboard sata works fine.

Does anyone have a solution for this.. I dont think theres anything in the bios to change?

Just ordered the 250gb model, and really excited about it. Hopefully will still be able to make the rebate in time.

WHS 2011 can be had for less then £40. When you say play blurays, do you mean just serve the file to you macbook and let that do the hard work of decoding the vid?

Some e-sata cables won't work, found the akasa one on overclockers works but a £1 one from ebay would'nt work and also this one works.

You have till the end of August to post the form but anyone wants one has a good week or more to order one.

I've had mine near a month now and still haven't posted my form off yet. Better do it soon.

Yes as others have said, some eSATA to SATA cables don't work. One person on another forum trimmed the plastic round the head of the eSATA end that wasn't working and it solved the problem, so perhaps it's down to 'not enough head'. I just bought one linked on AVF that the poster had found worked (at the 4th attempt!).

My only cable futz was buying a right angled SATA to straight SATA cable and discovering it was right-angled the wrong way (looking at the mobo from the front, you want it angled off to the right, not the left). I had to laugh. Good thing cables are cheap.

EDIT - ordered a 45cm regular one off OCUK for £1.79. You don't need a right angled one for the mobo connection if the cable is flexible.

Yes I will only be using it as a media server with MKVs etc so need it to stream to Macbook (which I may replace with a Mac Mini) so I can watch them on a LCD TV. I am using Plex with the Mac at the moment.

Wonder if anyone can give me a hand
I have the following
Server with 2008HS on the 250gig budled hard drive on the optical header (Flashed with Hacked Firmware)
In Bay 1 and 2 I have 2 Samsung F4's Mirror using the Oboard Raid set up.
I have a transfer speed from My PC to the Server of 3.2Meg a Second :-(

My Pc has a Gig NIC
I have the Virgin Media Hub witch has a GIG lan
All connected by Cat6 Cable

Any Ideas why the speed is so slow?
