? I'm assuming you must be talking about some other bit of server kit surely?
I think I probably will go for it - I still intend to have duplicate copies of my most important files on another device anyway so in an absolute worst case scenario I just lose some movies and episodes which I could replace if I needed to
I'm also still torn between getting ESXi setup and having a FreeNAS VM, versus just not bothering and installing FreeNAS directly... Mostly for the reason that - would I really use the capability to run other VMs? I don't know... In my head I thought trying out other Linux distros via VMs would be useful, but realistically will the microserver be any good for that? If it's a graphical desktop it would rely on using some sort of VNC viewer and would the microserver handle that smoothly? (Besides which for that purpose I could install virtualbox or something on my main PC)
