Heh. I did that. Mainly cause it was free and for my work target I had to pass one exam. Managed to pass without doing the course. Had to Google a few answers though as the questions were more like an advertisement for their other products.

missed out on the free voucher, but got it for 50% off so I was happy with that.

I know its nothing amazing seeing as it's all online but my current work field is nothing do to with the IT industry and I'm trying to get in. Being a qualified Personal Trainer and experienced Fitness Coach doesn't really help a CV when I'm applying for work in the IT industry xD

but yeah, it was basically a giant advert but i still felt like I learned a lot

Yeah. You get a certificate in the post. It wasn't super hard but it wasn't easy either. You need to have some knowledge to pass the exam.

Hi
Has anyone found a decent hardware raid controller for the microserver instead of using the onboard software one

Depends on what RAID level you want. There are lots of cheap options for RAID 1 or 0 (or 10 for that matter).
But it can get expensive when you head into RAID 5 or 6 due to the required Battery or Flash Backed Write Cache (BBWC or FBWC) - though HP seem to have ditched Battery backed entirely, and Flash is a bit more expensive.

I've always found the Dashboard etc. on WHS2011 a little slow, does it get any more snappy if you put the OS on an SSD?

Are you able to re-target the Server Folders "videos/pictures" etc. to a hard disc?
