How much editing are you going to be doing? If you intent to record game play casually etc and that's why you said it I would suggest the i5 as the i7 will be wasted money.

Seems okay if you've taken into account what danewesley has said, the i7 won't be any better for gaming, so as long as you're going to get moneys worth out of the i7 then go for that

Also is the RAM the low profile version? I'd go for that because it won't get in the way of any air coolers

when you say 'low profile' do you mean small? also do you happen to know if a I-7 is much better than an 1-5 for recording? (excluding editing)

Low profile RAM allows for 90%+ of heatsinks to not interfere with it, high profile RAM with heatsinks cause issues with large coolers.

And i5 will be perfectly fine for recording. I would imagine the i7 to be a little better due to it's hyper-threading but that is a decision for you to make if you want to pay the extra.

hmmm...i will probarly go for the 1-5 due to the large price difference...and also can you recomend some low profile ram? my current choice seems like the big one

All motherboards now a days have built-in sound so yes. :D

Wifi is not very common in motherboards and to get one with all the features you require and wifi will cost a bucket load..

I suggest just getting one of these: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-081-TP&groupid=46&catid=1600&subcat=2033

yeah i just had a look around and it would be another £100+ to get a MB with wi-fi...thanks for the link aswell because i would not have known what to look for otherwise
