Good Gaming Case

Have a look at these cases, as you no longer have to budget in £200 of watercooling kit + case, you can get some right gems.

Lian Li G70
Lian Li S80
Lian Li PC7+
Lian Li v1000/2000
Silverstone TJ07
Gigabyte Aurora
Coolermaster Stacker 810
Coolermaster Mystique
Akasa Eclipse 62
Akasa Mirage
Thermaltake Armour

Out of that list, personally I would spend my money on a PC7+ or a Akasa Eclipse 62 if it was my first build.

Have a look at those cases, all of them are top of class bar the Mystique, its just another option to consider.

This thread has to be a wind-up, surely?

It started off with gaming cases - went up to Koolance PC4's and now we're asking about stacker cooling?

Dude - if you are on the level, then just buy anything from OcUK - with the specification of rig you quoted, pretty much anything full ATX will be fine.

If you want an excellent cheap case then there is only the PC-7+. If you want the best cooling then you need an Akasa Eclipse with 2 x 120mm Akasa Amber fans. If you want the best looking, then I would personally buy the Lian-li V1000B+. I own all of these cases and they are all excellent. They are all different in their own ways, but none of them will disappoint you. I personally wouldn't buy a Coolermaster Stacker, but that's my problem. I think Thermaltake and Silverstone are overpriced and that ASUS make the best REALLY cheap cases.

OcUK only VERY rarely sell anything that is truly pants and their current case range is all pretty decent, so choose one and build away!

WJA96 I suggest you spend £30 on a Akasa Zen on your next order if you can muster the space for another case, bar a cheap clear plastic surround it really is quite good.

Not used a steel case for a while, but it certainly is not a OcUK value one. The fans are surprisingly good to, beat the stock S80 fans by a long way!

Not anymore as far as I am aware.

I've been following your build and I've no doubt that one will enter my life pretty soon. It looks to me like they took the best bits of the various Jeantech cases (2 x 120mm fans, tool-free chassis) and put them together in a pretty decent way for a fair price. ASUS still throw in a 450W PSU though for the same money and the steel edges are finished like the inside of PC-7 so you won't cut yourself.

Now an OcUK bundle with a 460W Akasa Paxpower for, say, £70 would be just the job I reckon ;)

Yeh, got the Zen with no intention of using it myself being brutally honest, was going to just build the next rig for someone else into it, but its quite good value.

If the Lanboy was not about, it would rule the roost without competition.

PC7+ still offers better all round value, but the fans on the Zen are Ambers in all sense of the word, although just a bit noisier, not much in it at all really!

I started of comparing the Zen against my S80, then realised how silly that was, so I then compared it against the £30 cases I have, and it comes out on top! :p
