Good system??

No, there's never really any need to overclock. Its just extra performance really.

Like was said before, idle you don't intend on overc locking over there's no need for a big cooler..

£20-£30 will get you a good cooler that will be queit and effect at stock..

Not interested in over clocking then?

i doubt that i will only because im not capable.

Think of it as turning your new Hi Fi up until the speakers start to distort then turning it down and upping the bass until it sounds right :D
Replace the volume with a CPU multiplier and the bass with voltage then you're about there.
It's pretty simple these days.

If you want to go liquid over air and you're not that worried about getting every single last bit of performance out of your CPU (ie a mild overclock) then go for something like the H60 or the more expensive H80i which is the newer version with adjustable light colours etc.
H100i if you want the top end or the Antec equivalents which are on offer at the moment.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (Socket 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £99.98
1 x Antec Kúhler H2O 920 Series 4 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (LGA1155 / LGA1156 / LGA1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM2+ / AM3+) £79.98
1 x Corsair Hydro H80i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1155 / LGA1156 / LGA1366 / LGA2011/ AM2 / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £76.98
1 x Corsair Hydro H60 V2 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (Socket LGA2011 / 1366 / 1155 / 1156 / 775 / AM2 / AM3) £59.99
1 x Antec Kúhler H2O 620 Series 4 CPU Watercooler (Socket Intel LGA 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AMD AM2 / AM3 / AM2+ / AM3+) £44.99
Total : £373.32 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Or you can go air but you would need to watch your ram heatsinks and maybe get low profile ram.

There are plenty of cooling options.

If you're considering playing with overclocking and you have cash to burn then go for the H100i and have some fun playing. There are plenty of guides to help you and plenty of people here that will help.

Edit: The H100i is a really tight fit in the scout case. You may be better going with the smaller rad size coolers
Good thread for H cooler case compatibilty: http://www.overclock.net/t/1144409/...compatibility-thread-page-1-for-full-listings

ok so let me get this correct.
I could get the H100i with no intention of overclocking but the option is there if i ever want to? I think this is the way i might go.

Check my edit at the bottom :(

It's tight in your case but you could still go h80i. I linked a thread with sizes for cases etc

case size is most important, that's why many use tower or full tower cases, as you can get more in, and almost have any part you like, and as many as you like, small cases are sometimes better looking and can be very tidy, more like lan party ones etc, but where they fall over is your limited to what you can add in or put into them.

even some mid size cases don't take full size cards and allow for full size tower coolers or some liquid ones either

well looks like it might be a new case aswel then,
my head is exploding i didnt realise there was all these variables.

I know how you feel!
You can still get top end performance in a small case but it takes juggling and occasionally a bit of modding. Check out some prodigy builds for proof of that.

Personally I much prefer full tower cases as I'm a great lumbering oaf with shovel hands and sausage fingers :D It's so much easier and gives greater options for me. Particularly for watercooling which will be my next project.

With a tight case you may be better with an air cooler but you will just need to measure the cooler versus the clearance in the case. Air coolers are as good as closed loop water ones by the way :)

You can get any aftermarket cooler with that intention...

no need to spend £100 on an uncertainty..

You will need a cooler for your chip (as they don't come with stock coolers). £20-£30 can get you a good one which will allow you to over clock.
