Good winter screen wash?

I've only ever bought Halfords! Though the green did make the snow/ice look disgusting last year so I might get something different.

Neat? Wow... Bad batch possibly as mine didn't at well below that.

Whatever concentration it says on the bottle, quite possibly neat yes. It did smell nice, apples if i recall correctly.

Anybody tried heating the washer bottle? I have one of those 12v elements here, the type you use to heat up a cup of water when camping. I wonder how effective one would be if sealed into a washer bottle...

It might stop the bottle freezing but the pipes to the nozzles would still freeze and the screenwash will still freeze on the windscreen if it's cold enough.

I was using Tescos pre mixed stuff and not once last year did it freeze. In fact it made the ice melt off my windscreen better than my canned de-icer.

Not cheap but it dilutes and its awesome in summer and winter.

Lidl/Aldi usually do -50 etc screen wash every so often as part of their special offers. People who use it say it is good stuff.

Just got to wait until they have it in and stock up.

i use vw own brand screen wash, works down to -70

windscreen clear concentrate frost protection to -70c genuine parts

Likewise. Majority of people don't realise the severity of the weather which we were unfortunate enough to be subjected to in this area of the country. The Central belt was by far and away the worst hit area of the entire UK last year. In 40 years I've never seen anything quite like it. Fingers crossed we won't get it as bad this year but I'm pretty sure that is wishful thinking.
