Very nice, I would have kept the M3 personally but maybe the E55 makes more sense given the sort of driving you're doing. Saw the ad on PH as well - has the seven seat option which I can't say I've seen before!

E39 gone for a month or so now and got quite a bit of interest in the E92, so shouldn't be around long. Was trying to be disciplined enough to sell my car first, but that hasn't happened before despite previous efforts and haven't broken the trend this time either it seems! The owner called me back a week after I viewed to say that he had just been offered £18.5k for it unless I wanted to offer a bit more, so I was happy to oblige!

What I meant was that the E55 is the logical choice given his requirements but I personally would stick with the M3 and live with the compromises.

Anyway, the E55 is a brilliant car that I'm sure will serve him well.

It's all about the revs, give me that over a big lazy torque monster any day of the week.

Note, I'm talking in general terms here, not the OP's car in particular. It this case a big torquey engine makes sense.

i would love to see a big estate like that being given the beans on the road one day. you must see the sight of the massive estate tearing off down the road and it must seem to needless for an estate to get down the road as fast or faster than most sports cars. love it!
